Ah, I am in Dunners.
As far as I know there is a pen group in Wellington, or at least a number of pen enthusiasts that post on the Fountain Pens New Zealand facebook page. Might be worth reaching out to someone there?
I tried a small trick which was mentioned on this thread of moving the tines so they are slightly displaced and then repositoning them, That seems to have helped the flow. I don't do FB and I won't so I can't reach out to the local enthusiats that way.

I do have a friend who lives in SF and they are coming back for Xmas so could take the pen back to me, have it repaired and then shipped back to me.
Gena Salorino at Custom Nib Studios is in LA. She does nice work. Mark Bacas is in Georgia and is very talented, but his queue is much longer.

Pilot pens are supposed to come with a three year guarantee - so why not send it back to Pilot, and have them sort it out?

It will vary from country/region to country/region and Pilot will also probably insist it goes back to them through the seller.

This may be the reason for what you are seeing
If its not that then try flushing the pen a good few times
Why not flush............get a pc of brass from Goulet (I use a razer blade myself) to insert between the tines, fill with a wetter ink and back that knob-off all the way, even moving the plunger a tad to get it going? I use both Noodlers and Skrip in mine with excellent results:crazy_pilot:
I have never received any FP purchased from Pilot to have issues and I have at least a dozen. You can also pull the nib if needed as they are friction fitted to clean nib and feed of any sludge that might have unfortunately gathered to ruin your day?

I implore you, don't do anything drastic until you've tried Pilot Blue-Black in that pen.

Well since it's only money I managed to fix it following this video on Youtube.

I have a digital microscope that helped me check my settings each time.
It's nice and wet now (well wetter than before!)

I just found him with search in Youtube. I didn't know he was famous :-)
Also I have switched to Pilot Iroshizuku ink which seems to suit the pen.

Glad to hear it's working out. They are really great pens.
