x-pens with convertor leaking ink
Hello everyone,
I have an issue with two of my pens. There are from x-pen, they are great, amazing, for the price is very comfortable writing and beautiful design, one of these pens is my daily-use main pen. But there is a problem, they are leaking ink. Not everytime, but sometimes, sometimes when it lays on the table overnight, sometimes just an hour, sometimes when I bring them to job. But leaking. Both of them. None of my other pens are leaking this way.
Leak is on the nib, whole nib covered with ink, and writing part to hold in hand (don't know english name) is also covered. Sometimes they are okay for one week, sometimes leaks 3 times a day.
I think that is an incompatibility with converter. I bought them from pen seller in my country, he is selling them with online convertor, as a compatible convertor. You can easily put it on (with little pressure) and it sucks ink into, it holds it, but sometimes leaks, maybe.
I tried 3 inks from different manufacturers. Problem is same.
Please do you have any experience with these pens with convertors, and is there any more compatible to try?
Thanks!
Re: x-pens with convertor leaking ink
If you tell us what model x-pen, we can help more. (I have several pens from them, mainly Nemosine Singularities).
Have you tried cartridges instead of converters? But without knowing the model, or seeing any pictures, my guess would be a converter that doesn't quite fit, or isn't pushed in far enough.

Hi, thanks for reaction, my pens are
X-Pen Symphony Dark Grey GT,
X-Pen Novo Dark Grey GT
and convertor is Online Konvertor (for business line and vision), called also universal.
I think I pushed it hardly, even in Novo I feel the click like in cartridge. And yes I tried one original cartridge (distributed with pen) and it was okay.
I can make some photos if necessary.
Thanks
Re: x-pens with convertor leaking ink
I tried pressure, very hard and I did not feel any progress to deeper connecting, I think it is right connected.
Re: x-pens with convertor leaking ink
Thanks for the clarification. I would stick with cartridges that fit and do not leak until you can find out from where the converter is leaking...it could be leaking from around the 'mouth' (where it fits onto the pen) or from the back of the converter, where the piston mechanism is attached.
Cartridges can be refilled by using pipettes or industrial syringes.
Re: x-pens with convertor leaking ink
Thanks. I will try to find out. I bought another converter (0.2mm smaller hole) from china (for 1usd), I will try it. I think it is in connection, because inside pen (in room for cartridge and converter) is not any ink, there is absolutely clear space.
Re: x-pens with convertor leaking ink
I see. That's a good indicator that the problem is in the connection.
