What the heck is "Rep Power" on FPG?

I see Rep Power scores and Feedback scores by the screen name, location, avatar, number of posts, thanks and thanked, etc., of members when they post. I understand Feedback on eBay, but haven't a clue what it or Rep Power are on this forum, or what folks need to do to earn them. Perhaps someone who's been initiated into this particular sort of esoterica would be willing to explain? (As long as I don't have to take any blood oaths or anything like that, of course.)

zOMG, this has been discussed to death, including very recently. Let me find the most recent thread... yes, here it is.

You've already been initiated without taking any blood oath, as you have a rep power of 1.
Click on 'Community" and the Reputation board is on top of the drop down list. :)
