What Parker pen did you use today?
I used..and drew...mine...
Hopefully you can tell what it is even taking my 'drawing skills' into consideration.
Sketched in my hobonichi on today's date as I was waiting for my haircut.

That is one beautiful pen
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Two user pens, a 51 Aerometric and a 61 capillary. Sometime I carry a 51 Kulick. All of them are great writers and reliable.
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Parker "51" aerometric in Midnight blue, lutraloy cap. Travels in my pants pocket everywhere. Today I'm using the backside of the nib to do a monk's work: writing out all relevant information on a note card for a Biology exam tomorrow!
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Parker 51 vacumatic with a rolled gold cap. Not my favourite pen, but it had ink in it when I needed it!

Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Parker 51 midnight blue/lustraloy. 46 years of writing fun.
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
A wonderful writing 61 Mark III, with a wet medium nib.
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
I got a smaller (Debutante?) black Vac in the mail today with a nice semi flex nib. Very nice to write with!
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Amongst today's gear...I included a Parker 51 :)
Received my second P51 today...this time with a nib that I think will suit my writing style better... Can't wait to give it a go...

Ah true, maybe I should have provided a legend :)
From left to right;
- 90's Tag Heur watch,
- Persol sunglasses,
- 4711 Unisex cologne (the formula has stayed the same for over 200 years)
- white Wilkinson injector razor (either a prototype or some other rare beast...never seen a white before),
- New Forest two-band badger shaving brush,
- Calepino notebook and Parker 51 pen in burgundy/black
- Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave - decanted into a small, vintage glass Pinaud bottle
(The Pinaud Lilac Vegetal was originally formulated in the 1800's for Hungarian cavelry...and people either hate...or love it... :)
So, sorry...the green stuff was not heavily diluted green ink ;)

That would be nice, but no, I don't think so. It's still pretty good, but no way it's the same formulation as in 1816.
The basic formula is certainly always the same, but eau de cologne is always vulnerable to rules about what chemicals are allowed.

Quite possible. Fundamentally the base ingredients have stayed the same over the past 200 years - citrus oils, rosemary, lavender, alcohol and water - but what/if any alterations have been made to other components is hard to tell especially since the full recipe is a well guarded secret.
The 4711 scent itself is rather polarizing - some people immediately think of their grandmother when they smell it and others, such as myself, get a really nice, summery scent from it.
Unfortunately it has very poor lasting power.
Then again, it's fairly inexpensive (I got my 10oz bottle on a special deal for $2) and fun to splash on from time to time. Regardless if I smell as someone in 1816 or not ;)
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Sonnet Laque Autumn Red, medium nib, inked with Diamine Wild Strawberry.
Re: What Parker pen did you use today?
Parker 51, midnight blue. Sheaffer blue black left over from the 1950s.

I just replaced its diaphragm. Spent more time scraping the old diaphragm which stuck to the barrel like a leech.
Lucky me this one has an aluminum pellet socket, so I don't have to fight to get the ball out *and* make sure that I don't slip and destroy the brittle rubber one.
