As I was saying before, that's not a Parker clip. Why do you think this is a Parker? Please, help me learn.

Oh, but it is a Parker clip - as the original post stated, the pen is a Parker Parkette, which was one of Parker's lower-tier, economy pens. You can read all about the Parkette here, and I would suggest you spend a few hours (or days!) on that site, which is a great resource for learning about Parker and their pens through history.

An original Parkette for reference
I needed a magnifying glass to clearly make out the stamp on the barrel. My attempt to photograph the stamp was not successful.
body parts from different pens enroute so the Bride of Franken Pen will make her debut very soon. This one will be green.
I can already hear Fred saying "oh no, not Moore pens!", but it just had to happen. Courtesy a tip from xlnt FPG member RobJohnson, I was pointed to a Moore desk base that is - from all I can tell - a mate to the desk pen I got a week or two ago. I note that both the pen and the tulip have a single (matching) gold band; this came from Tim Ettenheim at timsvintagepens.com. The base has the original felt and the original "MOORE Fountain Pen Desk Set" label on the bottom.
And then, around the same time, I spotted this little Moore pocket pen in a celluloid I hadn't seen before, a somewhat combination of green marbles with striated. Had to come home to join the family!
Congrats on that genuine Moore base!
desk pens are great an this is a special lovely example. Congrats!

Congratulation on some great pens:big_boss:
Wow, Jon- those are excellent!
I looked up auctions ending soon, and found a green Sheaffer Fashion II for around $13 all in. The preteen that lives inside me is happy.
I recently got this black Jinhao x159 to give it a good testing and compare it with other pens. I like the black one very much and it is now my knock about pen. Confident that I was not going to be wasting money I ordered a "red" one. A couple days ago this brown one arrived. I am a little disappointed with the colour. It is sold as Red, but it is more brown than red. These are the 4 pens on my desk in use now. The ink matches the pen colour, or was supposed to. I wanted to use a more burgundy ink.

Just picked up a Pilot 74 with hybrid architect grind by Mark Bacas from Zhivago. Great fun to write with.
FWIW, the x159 that I purchased to check out was a 'Blue' one. It is blue if you hold it directly under a desk lamp, but in almost all normal lighting environments the pen is indistinguishable from Black. Not a worry on my part, but confirmation of the lack of correct photos in the adverts for them.
I bought the Lamy Petrol and Lilac Al-Stars. Dromgoole's threw in the cases for free!
Platinum Izumo Sea of Clouds.
