2nd issue came in

Just couldn’t resist adding my two Lamy to the cover of the 2nd volume.

Cool! Is that a Joy I see there? How do you like it? I am tempted to pick one up.

I like the style of it and went with it as a fun pen to use. It is a nice addition.

I was contemplating getting it and a smaller italic nib thinking the 1.9 was huge :). Since I already have three safaris I suppose I could just start with a 1.1 nib and do the Joy later.

Lamy Joy is a lovely pen. I'm not sure how many versions there are now; I've seen a white one, but for me, that shiny black is just such a classic. The Rotring Artpen is a real workhorse for most calligraphers, but the Lamy Joy is a really stunning pen.

(My Rotrings go in a mug. My Joy goes in the case with my 'grown up' pens like Pelikan 400s and Edison Colliers.)

Yes, you can always buy a spare 1.1mm nib and swap it into any Lamy Safari, Al-Star or Nexx. That's what I did. I have a couple of 1.1mm nibs, but never went as high as the 1.9mm version. :)
