I don’t know how many pens I own but I know I bought 3 for myself this week and one for my wife. I’m pretty sure two of them are duplicates of what I already own; but why not. BTW, I have an index card file list of all of my pens but am too lazy to count them. Do I qualify?

Yes, absolutely

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
More pens arrived last week, and this/next week, some stuff to go in them, should arrive.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I was telling that " OH DEAR, I HAVE JUST ORDERED MORE " THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MONTH WENT BY.
So I bought so many and I am guilty to tell how many. Well, that is not in someone's budget for a month I guess. but I had to do it to calm me down.
But strangely I found a list again getting bigger and bigger. I am only accusing my subconciouss mind for doing all these things without my knowledge.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
This is a never ending dialogue I am waiting for another list of pens. It is very short but a list of 8 pens.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
A Wing Sung 3008 came last week.
However, my latest obsession is with wax seals, and washi tape.

The first weekend in May is the Chicago Pen Show. We will see what that brings.... Last year the show was great but expensive.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I can certainly "justify" these purchases - as a snailmailer, I have been writing letters - need paper to write the words on - need pen and ink to write those words - and then there's wax and the seal to close off the envelope. This year, I have sent out the vast majority of letters with a wax seal.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I think I have found my refuge :) Or dear me.....:hail: Why I must confess again??
Yes this time 12 vintage pens
3 mont blanc unexpected and some bunch of vintage nibs and of course several dozen of pen holders to go with them.
yes I need the different ink for the dib pens someone suggested and I had believe him. Or man....:agree:

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I don't know what the best dip pen ink is but I got Speedball India ink which works with most of my dip nibs but not all. It's a fun addiction to be sure!

I have never used a dip pen, but I am very curious. I believe my pen collection is stable (minus a grail or two), so maybe I can branch out to some stuff I haven't tried.
Thanks for the enablement!

Not pens this time, but I ordered more wax seals!

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I have added a few more Wing Sung 3008 pens, a Jinhao Shark in a shocking colour, a Jinhao Swan, and yet more washi/wax seals.

Do you use washi tape in any particular way with your letters? I have a few rolls and like the patterns, but I'm not entirely sure how to use them in a satisfactory way in a letter. I tried using small pieces as centered paragraph dividers - not entirely convinced!
(I have the fox and macchiato Kaweco Skyline Sports on the way with different sized stubs - those pens are ugly-cute and I love those colours. I'm going to have to resist the pencils too because they are adorable).

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
I have a letter in progress now. Plain but Basildon Bond paper of some description. I used a bit of tape along the top. Sometimes, I use the tape down the page. Occasionally, if I really get annoyed at the punched holes in the pads I have from Paperchase, I cover the holes with tape or stickers! I occasionally stick pages together with the tape, to form a letter-booklet. Also, I use tape as well as wax seals to seal envelopes. Some of the writing paper sets I bought from The Works have not very sticky licky stuff and I've given up licking them.

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
Aha! (Functional uses I was ok with - I used some wintry ones instead of sellotape on presents this year as it should make the wrapping paper easier to reuse).
I've found people decorating envelopes with them, which can look quite good. I think part of my difficulty was I've been using A4 for all my letters thus far, and I think a side stripe or top stripe would look better-proportioned on smaller sizes of paper. Or at least, with the size of tape I have - nothing extra-wide.
Or maybe I just need to go for it more!

Well, can you ever have too much stationery?

Re: Oh dear, and I've just ordered more!
Where I live it rains significantly more than in the UK, and mold and mildew attack paper mercilessly.
I've had heart-breakingly beautiful paper destroyed just by leaving it in a drawer or on a shelf for a few months.
I've learned to store all my paper in air-tight plastic containers to keep out moisture.
I'm at the point now that if I buy any more paper, I'll have to buy more plastic containers for them as well.
