Anyone know how to clean the threads on a Visconti Voyager?

So, i've got a Voyager 25th anniversary, which has the power filler. Well, after my last fill, I now have a bunch of ink in the threads!

Anyone know how to get this out:

I gave up trying to remove ink residue from my Visconti Wall Street LE before I sold it. I surmise the two pens are made from the same material.

Since then, Mark Hoover (https://www.lbepen.com) has started selling an enzyme-based ink remover, but I don't know if it is designed for this application. You might send your photo to Mark and ask. He told me he is offering the ink remover in a "new improved" formula at the Baltimore Pen Show (today through Sunday).

It would help if you confirmed which plastic your pen is made of before using anything aggressive.

I would think, after removing as much ink with a damp cloth will allow, that an application of some mild toothpaste on a dampened toothbrush could be both safe and effective.

I should clarify that the ink is inside the pen and quite unreachable. I'm not even entirely sure how the ink got into the threads in the first place, to be honest. I'll reach out to Mark and see what he says.

The material is the Visconti "Acryloid".

I was actually thinking of selling it, so I was going to clean it up before deciding. Then I found the ink stains. -_-

A beautiful pen (and the celluloid ribbons are lovely), but I don't use it much do to it being a gusher.

I just found the threads of the section! Didn't even think about it. [yes, very stupid of me].

Well, getting it open and being able to scrub a bit knocked back the stain by about 50%. Good enough, I suppose.
