Offered for sale is one of pendom's absolute icons - a Pilot Custom 823 in the amber color.
The Pilot Custom 823 is a well known, widely beloved pen that represents a grail pen for many collectors. It is a Vacuum filler. The pen holds about 2.5 ml of ink, or around 5 times as much as a typical cartridge converter pen. The 14K gold nib in Fine width is a Pilot #15, which is around the size of a #6. It writes with the smoothness for which Pilot nibs are known.
The pen measures about 148 mm long closed, 131 mm long uncapped, and 165 mm long posted. The twist off cap posts very securely. The pen is lightly used and complete with boxes and papers. The package includes the special shaped 70ml bottle of Pilot Blue ink, which to my understanding is not available other than with the pen.
