Parker 51 Medical Trio - forest green?
Hi folks!
I found in the wild a Parker 51 FP, pencil and thermometer set with leather case. I've never seen one before. Looking around at internet I found this post.
http://fountainpenboard.com/forum/in...er-holder-set/
what I found is identical to the "parker 51 Medical trio set" (see attached).
The catalog indicates that the FP, Pencil and thermoemter case only come in black, but the set I found is green (forest green maybe, according to the Richard Binder site, because its an aero P51).
Can you give some information about the manufacture year, more ads, etc?
Any information, picture orimages is appreciated.
Regards,

What a rare P51 set.
Would be interested in the date of offering.
Are either of you able to post images of the pen set & leather case mentioned please.
Thank you.
Re: Parker 51 Medical Trio - forest green?
I didn't have the leather case.

Re: Parker 51 Medical Trio - forest green?
Hi folks! Thanks for your interest in my post. Here the pictures of the set. I dont restore it yet, but it is in my backlog ;)
Following the Richard Binder site and this FPN post the FP is a Mark I in forest green and can be dated in the range 1953-1956 (because it shows no date imprint in the barrel and it shows 'semichrome ink' imprint in the metallic filler unit.
Note also the exccelent condition of the balck leather case :)

Any info that you ca provide is appreciated.

mresimulator,
Many thanks for taking the time to photograph your rare pen set.
I looked at the images with great interest.
What a wonderful find.
Doubt many have sent this set before.
I certainly have not.
( P51 Aero barrel dates if they still there, run from 1948 to 1957 )
