In Praise of Andre Mora of Mora Stylos
I purchased a beautiful Oldwin pen in Tibaldi Impero celluloid from Andre Mora at the LA Pen Show earlier this year. Once home, I found that the pen had a minor issue that prevented it from writing the way I wanted. I wrote to Monsieur Mora and he immediately responded and requested I return the pen to him for corrective action.
I did so and was stunned when the pen returned to me in less than 14 days with a nice hand written note saying that Monsieur Mora had changed the feed and made sure the pen wrote well. Did it ever! I'm in love all over again - even more than the day I bought it!
14 days despite two way travel between Ohio, USA and Paris, France, two Customs agencies, etc. That is what I call REAL customer service! I am already looking forward to my next original Oldwin pen.
I'll contrast that with a different pen manufacturer I will leave unnamed. I ordered one of his very expensive Limited Edition pens at the LA Show in February, 2019 with expected delivery later that year. I paid a 50% deposit. In December I requested an update and was told March or April 2020. In April I requested an update and was told he wasn't able to make any promise of delivery. My subsequent email requests in July and August went unanswered. Now it is September, I have paid a deposit of well over $1000, have no promise of delivery, and can't even get a response.
Fortunately, some pen makers like Andre Mora provide excellent customer service. Kudos and my thanks to Monsieur Mora!

The postal gods must have been smiling upon that pen.

US Postal Service to France and I assume it was La Poste back but didn’t take notice of the packing/paperwork
