Sheaffer Legacy Rollerball Question

Hi all

I have been browsing the BayofEvil for a Legacy Rollerball to complete my set and keep seeing ones like the example here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sheaffer-...d/173772493330
As you can see it has the blind cap of the Fountain pen but then there are also many examples on there that don't have the blind cap.

So what's the story with the blind capped Rollerball's were they made like that or are they fountain pens converted to Rollerball.

I get "Can't find the server," and I should not have any difficulty seeing it as it's ebay UK I assume. Try removing the "s" from the links showing https see if that works.

In fact I always remove the "s" from every link I try to post. As it happens, I can copy the listing number and look at it that way.

The rollerball section just screws into the barrel, instead of the nib section, and they are all the same size fitting, so it could easily be a Legacy 1 FP barrel. I assume the tube inside has been removed.

Anyone got any info on these, did sheaffer produce Rollerball Legacy pens using the Fountain pen barrel with its blind cap or are they customer conversions, not sure why they would want to though. ;)
