Not a North American ink :)
Quiet in here. So... Diamine Merlot?
You're so close...:p
There's such an obvious hint to the name, in the text, that I thought it would be figured out right away.....
Oh dear, it's not Diamine Syrah is it? Because that'll annoy me - it was one of my very first bottled inks!
Yes it is :applause: We've got a winner. Your turn now....
Well, darn it. I think I must have been lead astray by the notion that anyone could regret buying it! Anyway, wandering far along the colour spectrum hardly at all, but simply the only vaguely interesting ink I have on the go at the moment, I give you:

Gave me a bit of hassle getting it to come out looking right, and even now I'm not wholly convinced. But it should be enough to go on, I think. No shimmer, no sheen, some shading.
Hi,
is it Diamine Grape?
Best
Jens
Not a Diamine, Grape or otherwise, Jens.
Noodler's Ottoman Rose?
Hi,
Is it Yama-budo by any chance?
Oh wow, nice!
I'm offering you a nice red ink... :)
Good luck!

What a rich red! Caran d'Ache, Chromatics Encre Rouge, I mean red :p
Montblanc Leonardo Red Chalk?
Or Mont Blanc William Shakespeare Velvet Red?
Not Montblanc Leonardo Red Chalk
and not Montblanc William Shakespeare Velvet Red
but very, very good guesses!
Montblanc Hitchcock?
You all are getting close, but not Hitchcock either :)
Sakura Red?
