Its really annoying though if you're looking for useful information.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
Sorry to ruin the great nest...
But my Jet Pens order arrived today. So, somehow, they're open for biz.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
For what it is worth: I ordered a Santini-Italia Libra (flex nib) on 3-13-20. It was shipped 3-17-20 and received in California on 3-20-20. Communication was excellent. They are located near Milan in the hard hit north.
now parts for my Ducati are another matter.....but it has been that way for years.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
I had hoped to remain open for business. It seems I can't and I'll be taking steps to temporarily close my sales site. My apologies to anyone who wished to place an order.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
My site is now closed. I sent my last packages today. Only two people were allowed in at a time. I extended my packages at full arm's length and she took them the same way. Neither of us breathed much. An hour later she made the announcement that she would take no more packages or letters so I just made it!

Look at it like this, Deb. Now you have more time for making haggis.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
I can't make haggis but I can make skirly.

I had to look up skirly, but being from the South anything that's fried, has onions, and works as a stuffing would not last long on my plate.
Certainly preferred to haggis. I had haggis once in 1976 and it was 2003 before the taste left my mouth. I may have nightmares tonight just remembering it.

My local post office was still open last week, that's the last ordered pen that I had to send out.
I haven't heard anything locally that indicated they are going to close USPS, but anything can happen.

Before I moved here I would not have considered haggis a comestible but we have it fairly often and I like it. But skirly is scrummy.

What's happening here: the deliveries of mail continue as normal. Post Offices belong to individuals who can choose how much risk they wish to endure. So far as I know they remain open for financial services and their other functions but many are no longer prepared to take in packages and letters.

According to John Hall of Write Here Ltd (pen shop & online seller in the U.K.), the latest information regarding trading by some of the big pen companies is as follows:
“So far, Pilot / Namiki, Visconti, Diamine, have shut.
Sailor, Lamy, Opus 88, TWSBI, and Fine Writing International are open and taking orders....”

@sgphoto
In the UK I understand Cultpens, Purepens and Thewritingdesk are all still taking and dispatching website orders
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
Thank you for letting me know, Chris. I would still be selling pens if I could send them. I'll make use of this break to do all the things I have been putting off.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
So you're my competition at Time Was Antiques when the new batches of Noodlers comes in.
Re: Pen and related vendors temporarily shutting down for Convid 19
Jetpens is taking orders, but their COVID-19 page advises that because they can't guarantee delivery times, no free shipping.
