Manny, a Jack Russell Terrier and flâneur who just celebrated his eighth birthday.
Just a hellish month for us. Now my 18 yr. old Ellie has died.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ellie looks like a lovely girl. They sure take a piece of our hearts with them when they go.
Oh dear, I know how it hurts.
I'm with You

I'm so sorry for your loss.
18 years is a long time. It's also an indication of how good of a life your dog must have had thanks to you!
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. That is absolutely heartbreaking.
Oh! I'm so sorry to hear for your loss.
Anyway you should remember how happy those 18 years were and how many bright moments you two had.

This is Super Awesomus Maximus, that's long for S.a.m. He's all lap dog who doesn't think he's really a dog, though he does pretend he's a wolf from time to time. He hates to lick, but if he needs some attention he will pretend to lick your face, so long as his tongue doesn't actually touch you. He's all mutt, maybe basenji or rat terrier.

This is Bella, a catahoula cur mix. She's momma dog, a true guardian. That is unless you need guarding from a broom, vacuum, or garbage truck. You're on your own with those.

And this is Remus. We got Remus because Sam doesn't like to play outside(he's throughly convinced he is not a dog) and bella needed someone to play with. He is a little ball of energy and runs her ragged. She plays with him but he just won't quit. When Bella is tired, she has to hide from Remus. He's a corgi, a crossbreed between the cardigan and pembroke.

I can't figure out how to post a picture of my puppy. But I've just found out she's dying and my heart is breaking. Other dog people will understand.
Sophie, Socks, Oobi, and Pep. All “second hand” dogs. Pep is the only one who lives with me. Oobi died last year, he was not a healthy dog and in the end had dementia, it was very sad. He had a hard life, was abused by his former owners. Socks and Sophie live with my mom, but I rescued them, pay for all their grooming and vet care, and see them all the time, so I feel they are mine too.
For Empliau - Yes, I understand. It’s so hard.
Igraine - your dogs are sweeties! My girl is a Cavalier, another big heart in a small package. Grief fills the room up of my absent dog...
My baby.
Aww, she’s precious! Such a sweet looking dog! So sorry she isn’t doing well. It was so hard losing Oobi last year. Before him, in late 2014, my beloved cat Liza died...she was 17 and she was that once in a lifetime kind of cat. There will never be another one like her. Even people who didn’t like cats loved her. It’s been 7 years, and I still think about her every day. To me, they are family, and no less painful to lose.
We had to put my puppy to sleep. Her heart just couldn't go on, and when she couldn't breathe anymore, it was time. Our hearts are broken.
The picture was taken two weeks before she went into the hospital. Her heart just gave out suddenly.
