    - you reach that level in your collecting pens, when you can't quite remember if you have that particular Waterman model or not, because you're beginning to lose track of the various pen models you have.
    Ahhh, first world problems.

You have a little ebay binge, and when the dust settles, there is a day when you get two different packages, from two different sellers, in two widely separated states, and you realize that the two lots of pens each have a burgundy semi-hooded pen by the same unnamed manufacturer. And that they are, except for the owner's names inscribed thereon, identical pens.

And that you had not noticed this before you ordered.

And that you already had one of these, somewhere in the house.

And that you do not even mind, because the first one is a good writer and you assume these will be as well...

    +1

    ... only one?

And find it ok, that Swan nibs have little information on their type engraved, so just buy more pens to find the perfect nib.

You have more pen inked and don't know what ink you had when a pen goes out of ink.

You know you're a fountain pen geek when you try to save money by buying more ink and fewer pens, and it doesn't work.

Sorry not a sign, because a real Geek keeps a notebook of their fillings, with dates and observations about the pen and ink.
