oooh, you guys were talking about me behind my back! hah, that's what I get for exercising (wholly uncharacteristic) self-restraint! ah well, at least I'm called gracious, awshucks :P
Anyway! This is a total out-of-left-field ink for me! I'd never even heard of a Kobe line from Sailor. I wish I knew the non-ebay price point for this (because ebay items are often priced different because of fees etc). I don't think I'd pay $20 plus shipping for it, because while I like it, I think I could be just as happy with alternatives in this case. It's a really nice green ink, but it's not a great ink, period, one I'd want to use no matter the color just 'cause it's so beautiful.
But I was really curious about a comparison between that and Diamine Meadow, so I dug out a sample of that I had, and here's what I get - same paper, and my trusty glass pen for testing :P

Yep, it's like I thought - the only reason MI2 reminded me of Diamine Meadow would have been the pen. I guess that nib is so huge, it flattens out the subtleties in color difference just the same as a super fine nib does. Because with the glass nib pen, they are omg SO different! They're green and that's about it really.
Wow, this has been SO much fun! I'm gonna go look at the other Mystery Ink threads now :-)
PS: wow, my handwriting's kind of ugly! I'm used to it but seeing it on a screen is a change of perspective, and with all the gorgeous writing fresh in my mind, the disparity is even bigger. Guess I'm vivid proof that cursive writing and pretty writing are NOT the same thing, lol (and I'm holding back to apply myself here, when I write at a normal pace it's even more obvious because it's both uglier and more joined-up :P)
