Alright, I've been wanting a Dan Smith Architect grind on something for a while now. I've had my eyes open for something with a large amount of tipping for an awesome regrind. I remember seeing a ridiculous pen made by Montblanc with a HUGE tip. I've been searching ebay for one of those pens and finally found one. It is a Montblanc 145 tester pen with a rare HUGE nib tip meant to mimic a ballpoint and designed for people who had trouble transitioning from a ballpoint to a fountain pen. It was called the "Special" nib. It is stiff and huge and that's what she said. It is a boring nib and consequently it was discontinued. As a result it is somewhat rare. While I realize it is rare not because it is unique and wonderful but more like screen door on a submarine rare because it's a bad idea, it is rare none the less. After posting in several forums and facebook groups that I planned to regrind this nib several people fainted of shock and cried foul. I am offering the pen for sale before I send it out to be reground. If anyone wants to save this rare nib now's your chance. If it doesn't sell soon I'm sending it to Dan so he can do bad things to it.
This was a test pen. It has surface scratches and was caked up with ink. I cleaned the pen out but have not polished it yet.
I am asking $SOLD shipped USPS priority insured. Reasonable offers and bizarre trades entertained. I am flex junkie......
