Default Educate me on my Eversharp...

I have my late father's Eversharp pencil. It is inscribed 'Eversharp, gold filled, made in England'. It is 4" in length and has longitudinal inscribed lines alternating with short inscribed lines in almost a checkerboard pattern, with a decorative ring by the clip. Dad passed away in 1956 so it's at least that old. Sorry, I have no way of posting pictures.
    Thanks.

David Nishimura's sales site has a catalog of Eversharp pencils. He might be able to give you some information on it.

Pen Hero also has some information on them here: http://www.penhero.com/PenGallery/Ev...arpPencils.htm

Hope you find something helpful here.

English Eversharps were made in metal long after the art was abandoned by Eversharp US. 1950s is an accurate estimate.
