I just left a comment but I feel exactly the same about my LB5 and Andy, and my LB3. I have no other pens that come close in quality or memory. Pure joy these pens, every single time I use them. They never leave my rotation. Andy is amazing. I treasure my visits with him. Thank you for sharing such a personal review and speaking for me better than I could have myself.

I don't have one of these pens, Dan, but I so admire the care that goes into making them. Andy utilizes some of the most lovely pen materials I've ever seen in a pen. I've long coveted this particular model in the "diamond brown" color.

These are truly remarkable fountain pens, made by a real gentleman. It is always a pleasure to visit with Andy at pen shows. I have two LB5s: #11 blue with rhodium trim (like the one in video) and #12 brown with gold trim. Both have the standard medium nib. They are among the most beautiful fountain pens in my collection. In my estimation, certainly the greatest c/c pens ever produced. Thank you for the review.

Wow, I am very impressed. This pen is of the best caliber. However, I do believe that Sailor must produce a Sailor King of Pen Realo or piston filler as in 2006 for their anniversary, I hope this happens soon and someone or something pushes sailor por the production of this beautiful pen, The King Of Pen, as a piston filler, something that would make so many people happy and full of joy.

It's stunning to look at the Classic Pens LB5. Their distinctive construction draws you in, and the Sailor King of Pen nib's performance entices you to keep using them. Although I did my absolute best to capture the beauty of the LB5's material as the blog photographer for HOTP, nothing compares to actually seeing it.
