Default Ink Review: Diamine Music Collection: Tchaikovsky

Today I'm reviewing one of my favourite blue inks. It's Diamine Tchaikovsky ink from the Music series.

    • Bearing in mind the paper I use is very smooth, and the nib was a wet stub, it dried after 22secs.
    • It exhibits a lovely red sheen depending on the pen used. You can see it on the top half of the review form with the Bexley stub nib.
    • It flows very well and lubricates the nib very well. No start-up problems noticed. No stopping or skipping.
    • Water test on the review form shows this isn't a waterproof ink, but it's water resistant.
    • It washed off my hands with ordinary bar soap.
    • It easily flushed out of my pens with warm water.
    • It is currently available in the gift set in 30ml glass bottles that are stable and user friendly.
    • It's also now available in 30ml plastic bottles as refills.
    • Diamine sell it directly to end-users on their web-site.

I agree. One of my favorites!

I love this ink - probably the favourite of the set.

Yes, mine too by a considerable margin.

I updated my review for Diamine Tchaikovsky ink. You can see how much it darkens, and shows it's red sheen, when left in the Bexley ATB with stub nib, and you can see how much lighter it looks when freshly filled. For finer or dryer nibs it also shows up it's lovely shading.

Tchaikovsky was always an ink with sheen before all of the latest heavy sheen inks came along.
