    Default Kudos to the Goulet's

I wanted to share with the community an email I received today from Rachel Goulet. The integrity of the Goulet is really exemplary.

    Hi Ira,

I’m sending you this email to give you a head’s up about a $100 store credit that I’ll be issuing you to use at GouletPens.com. Sweet! But why?

Well, you purchased an Omas Ogiva Alba from us at the full MSRP of $495, and if you look on our site soon you’ll see that we’ll be offering it for $395. This price is what we’ve found to be the ‘street price’ for the Ogiva Alba online. We never intended to charge what now appears to be a premium over other retailers, especially to you, one of our loyal customers! This was a tough call for us as it was our first foray with Omas, and we did not anticipate that the going rate of the Ogiva Alba would be $100 less than what we sold it for during the two month exclusive period we had when we launched the pen back in November. We spoke with Omas and they agreed with us that it is only fair to drop the price given the going rate of this pen.

Brian and I are choosing to credit you back for the difference because we feel that you should enjoy the same lower price that everyone else will now see. This credit is yours to enjoy for anything on GouletPens.com.

Thank you so very much for being a loyal supporter of ours, and don’t hesitate to ask if there’s anything we can do to enhance your writing experience.

That is a generous gesture. Have you considered which goodies to order with your $100 credit ?

I wonder if Anderson Pens will match that price now. They are showing their price as $495 (with click here to email for a better price)

I've been a very happy repeat customer of The Goulet Pen Company. Their service is as good as it gets. Generally any other pen and ink purchases I make from other retailers is for one reason only...Goulet does not carry that particular item. Goulet rocks and rolls!

    Ira,

That was a classy gesture by the Goulet's and you deserve it.

The Goulets are fantastic. I say that from far-away Nigeria.

    No affiliation, just repeatedly delighted.

I love that they did this. I've ordered from Gouletpens three or four times in the past couple of months. My most recent order was this evening, as a matter of fact, and this makes me even happier that I did so. :-)

Goulet is where I have ordered all of my items except my first two fountain pens from. The customer service has always been excellent from my brief experience with them.
