The most recent are three Pelikan Edelstein inks. Olivine, Aventurine and Sapphire. Got them at the Hubs. Oh and a partial bottle of one of my favorite inks. Levenger Pomegranate which wsd discontinued 2 or3 years ago.

    Just ordered cartridges from Diamine:

    - Majestic Blue
    - Woodland Green
    - the Regal assorted package, which includes the colors Monaco Red, Imperial Purple, Royal Blue and Emerald.

I also want to buy Tudor Blue, but that is only available in packages of 20 cartridges, not 6

I snagged a bottle of Sailor Sou-boku just before Christmas. It's really nice! Have it loaded in a medium-ish Parker '51' Aerometric and it's lovely and smooth...

That's my favourite ink to go in a Pilot Custom 823. It's the only ink I've used in it!

Haven't bought any inks for a few months.

On the other side of the coin, just gave away a full bottle of Lamy Petrol to a penpal in the US.

Tsuki-yo is working beautifully in my Stargazer. I could see myself putting nothing else in it.

I do like Petrol)(pen and ink both), that was most generous. I may have to pick up some cartridges if not too late.

The Navajo Turquoise isn’t new, I just added it to compare to “regular” Turquoise (which isn’t very turquoise at all).

Also, a number of Iroshizuku colors that I somehow have been neglecting.

Two German Diamine inks: Smoke on the Water and Purple Rain. Both pleasant colours but rather derivative. I have similar inks already. Smoke on the Water is a Yama-dori clone and Purple Rain is a very dark shade of, ummmm, purple :-). Both have sheen; reddish and gold respectively, as is the mode de la jour.

Nothing unusual or noteworthy in colour or performance, except that the purple one takes a while to dry & is a bit smeary. Couldn’t tell you about water resistance as it isn’t a factor for me so I don’t bother to test for it.

I expect the standard reviews will likely be posted before too long.......

Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo and Shin-Kai, Aurora Black. Gotta say I like Tsuki Yo much more than I anticipated.

Scooby, how do you like the Quink blue-black? I am a big fan of Quink Black, now.

New inks include Waterman Serenity Blue, Diamine Damson, and Iroshizuku Shin-Kai.

I love how S. Blue worked in my wife's Hemisphere. It is equally magical, so far, dip testing my blue Skyline.

My A&W Marquis should make the best of it, too, once the Quink Black remnants pass through. For now it is a subdued, rather attractive blue-black. I may be onto something.

I'm a total sucker for purple. I can't help myself. Damson is a dusky purple, more or less appropriate for work notes. All it took was a sample and I knew I had to have a bottle.

I have Shin kai too: it was the second Iro ink I acquired. I find it is a little lacking in punch when used in fine nibbed pens, so I would be interested in what you think of it.

I'm guessing you meant me? I think it's a wonderful ink, but for 10 years I HAD TO write with Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue and it reminds me a little bit of that ink. I hate that ink with a passion. Nothing wrong with it, it's actually an amazing ink purely performance wise, just after 10 years I can't see it anymore. Shin Kai reminds me of that ink, so after trying out one fill, it's already stashed in my "inks-never-to-be-used-again-hey-maybe-I-can-sell-these-if-I-can-be-arsed-to-do-it" drawer.

Yes, I should have noted to whom I was directing the question!

I feel quite the same about Shin kai, but I am going to try it in a gusher and see if that improves it any.

Guess I should be glad I got the small bottle. Dip tested with a wet medium nib and it is highly shading ranging to a darker blue than Registrar's Blue-Black. Also it has signs of a dark halo.

I bought a bottle after Sammyo explained why it is his go-to ink for testing any new pen. It just works. No drama. No flair. It's simply a consistent and reliable performer in any and every pen.

He's right. It's produced the same results out of every pen I've inked. It's great for getting to know a nib and feed. I also find the color / shading to be pleasant. I do prefer more vibrant blue inks, but this isn't one I'm unhappy to use, especially since it works so well.
