Is it sad that I'm disappointed this wasn't a spam post?
Online arguments are a lot like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As soon as the audience begins to participate, any actual content is lost in the resulting chaos and cacophony.
At that point, all you can do is laugh and enjoy the descent into debasement.

I'm a Longines fan and have several, this looks good value. While ETA movements aren't "in house" they seem extremely reliable and a lot better value, I suspect will well and truelly out last it's next owner...hopefully that's not a "curse"

Collecting pens and watches go very well together. Besides a pen lover I am a bit of a watch collector too, so this ad does not really disturb me.
But I would not expect it here. So I think this ad. should be more at home in the flea market section.

That is exactly my message: The for sale section in the classifieds on this fountain pen lovers site is meant for selling pens etc. It is explicitely indicated:
    For Sale
List pen, ink, and paper related items here.
So is the indication with the Flea market:
    Flea Market
Anything not related to pens, paper, and inks can be listed here.
    Seems pretty clear for me.

If I want to offer my house, my car, a guitar, my camera, whatever, I could go there.
Or else, in your case when you want attention for your Longines watch for sale, join a very well visited watch lovers site like http://www.watchuseek.com/home or http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/forum45.html . The last one is even specifically dedicated to Longines. If I can find it on Google (as I just did), I suppose you can too!

    Success!

What do you know about the watch's history? Are you the original owner? Last serviced?

The watch was acquired by me in italy in 2012, since then it wasn't serviced. Longines suggest servising his watches every 5 yrs so it wasn't needed yet.
