The Forum Is Back. But What Is Going On?
I was elated to tap on my FPGeeks bookmark and find the forums back instead of the strange page about ethics. But clearly something has gone wrong, and those of us who love FPG are worried. At least I am. I'm worried about Dan and Eric. Im worried about whether or not FPGeeks will be here tomorrow. I am dismayed at the take-down of the site with no explanation. What is going on?

Im with you. I'm grateful Eric brought the forum back. It's my sweet fountain pen home and would be heart broken to never be in contact with the people here.

Glad this place is back up I was really begrudging the prospect of FPN becoming my main pen forum again. As I have grown to prefer this place.

So glad to see the forum back up... no matter what is going on in the background... not that its not important etc, but so glad to be able to get back with all my friends here...

I was having a terrible day at work and was looking forward to some relief on my lunch break. I didn't know what to do with myself! This is my No1 pen forum, I am in the process of preparing my very 1st ink review... I am so excited to put it up here and then... bam, no FPGeeks! I was on the verge of running, screaming from the office.

I was very upset about the forum being taken down. Especially without any warning whatsoever. If there are disagreements between Dan and Eric about the direction of their blog and the commercialization of the main FPGeeks site, fine, but the forum--at least in my mind--has more or less evolved into a separate entity. That nonsense ought not affect the community we've all built here, which is much larger than two people.

I really like the layout/set up of this forum. I've been active on a few different fora for various hobbies and this has been the best so far.
Some people don't realise how much they appreciate something until it is gone... I do hope we don't have to experience this gone again.

I can fully understand, and empathize, if the reason was a financial one...
Forums can get costly to run. Sometimes the forum hosts can kind!
