Default Uh-Oh--The Edison Nouveau Premiere is Lilac

    Hey Guys,

The video on the new Goulet Edison Nouveau is up on their blog. The pen is gorgeous. Purple. Le sigh. I do have some money coming back on my taxes...

This pen is GORGEOUS. I SO WANT! Now I'm wondering how to wrangle $150 more into the pen budget....

    A beautiful delicate lilac.
It would be almost mandatory to use scented ink with this pen.

very nice color, but the pen was too translucent for me. I actually didn't like the look of the darker ink sloshing around in the pen, and I did not like the points that Brian made: that the ink will show some blotches through the section around the feed.

But it is lovely, otherwise, for sure.

Looks like a girly pen to me - - - so, among other reasons, I'll pass.

I might be in some trouble... The name plays on my little heart strings, and it looks like a nice dusty purple. I might jump on this pen a little late.

Boys and girls, I want to be clear: I'm safe, because that color is not one I would enjoy having. Just 1.5 weeks ago I used one of these very pens, in black, at a local pen gathering. As always seems to be the case, Brian makes a great pen, I enjoyed it a lot. Just in this case, I'm not into lavender (or light-colored pens, as a rule).

That should never be read as putting down the pen, or anyone else's decision to like it or have it. I'm frankly relieved to not have a pen tempting me. I've been... not holding back enough lately, and need to cool down. Frankly, that this was not a temptation was a win, for me.

This is just impossibly romantic! Its a beauty, that's certain, and if it calls to you it's a must have.

This is not a siren song for me like the Cherry Blossom last Spring so I'm cheering everyone on from the sidelines. Write with joy!

Yes, exactly. I don't like the colour/finish at all, hence my agreement with being "safe".
