Thumbs up Kaweco - Old and New

It's been a bit of a while since I posted any pen porn and the light box was somewhat coated in dust. So to ease the way back into things here are some pics of two Kaweco pens. One is my modern AC Sport in red metal and carbon black and the other is migo984's bright green Skyline from the 1980's. The latter was purchased recently as NOS from notemaker.com.au (who still has stock remaining - no affiliations) who unearthed a stock of them from the Kaweco factory.

The Skyline came with a medium nib. The AC Sport has a B nib that I have reground to a stub with slight left obliqueness. I also have EF and M nibs for the AC Sport which is my only Kaweco whereas migo has several that are among her favourites. They make great travel companions which we have recently put to the test. Enjoy ...

Does any one know how you can get the gold. Nib units for them, now? Thanx.

maybe check with Brian Goulet, Fountain Pen Hospital or Jet Pens. If not available there is always La Couronne du Comte in the Netherlands http://www.lacouronneducomte.nl/webs...c-161_386.html

So far they are only for sale in Europe.

I love that green one. Did it come with the clip? I much prefer that simple style to the one I have on my new skyline.

I didn't think any of them come with the clips. I think you have to buy them separately.

The only model that comes with a clip is the Kaweco Sport Luxe, also only available in Europe, I think.

I meant to say that the clip on the luxe is built into the pen. The Kaweco slip on clips may or may not be sold with a pen (usually not)but the Luxe has a very nice clip built in.

Gorgeous photography as usual, almost makes me want to get another Kaweco.
The green Retro skyline certainly grows on you and the red/black carbon fibre is a real looker.

I was in Frankfurt today, and stopped by one of my favorite stores. They are (according to the Kaweco catalog) the sole vendor of the guilloche Kaweco Sport (although I think Cult Pens carries them also).

I picked one up, and thought of this thread. So....

Hi Murfie, these two Kawecos look pretty happy together. Travel well as a pair.
I'm quite impressed by your grinding skill. The slightly oblique stub looks really good.
