Scottish Pen Shows

I've not been into pens for that long, about 2 years. I've heard much talk about pen shows and just wondered, is there any Scottish pen shows, and if not, what from those who have organised pen shows, what is involved in organising one.

I am not aware of any pen shows in Scotland.

Also, Deb at Good Writers Pens is in Helmsdale, Sutherland. She is a member here, and might know of pen gatherings.

There is one in Edinburgh but I don't know the dates. I'll see if I can find out. I don't do pen shows myself, partly because of remoteness – I'm 250 miles from Edinburgh – but also because of health issues.

Hi Deb, my wife is from Elgin, so we are up north often. Where are you based.

As in Field of Dreams, organise it and people will turn up, and we could make a weekend of it, somewhere like Troon with good hotel space, put the deal together as a proposition and it might just be a great success.

I am actively looking into it. I've gotten quotes from several hotels, mainly in Edinburgh, but, think that May be too much. Troon May be a good shout, I'll check that out. Thank Zippy.
