I'm still having a hard time convincing myself I shouldn't order that "Email" stamp. In the meantime, here are the two stamps I put into regular use when mailing items:

Husband and I just enjoyed 5 wonderful minutes together with these pictures.
Amusing.

I give you Present & Correct, washi tape tumblrs and videos of every Kobe ink parading in front of you and coquettishly teasing you... come on... you know you want us....

I ordered two stamps from Wit & Whistle as soon as I saw the original post in this thread, and they arrived yesterday. By happy coincidence, two Color Box pigment stamp pads (brown and green) arrived from Amazon a couple of days earlier. The stamp pads were on back order for several months, and I had almost forgotten about them.
For those who use ink stamps, how does one clean them after use, and how frequently? I suppose this isn't much of a concern if you dedicate each pad to a single ink color, but if you want to switch colors from time to time, what's the recommended cleaning protocol?
Many thanks to all - -

Jon - Here's a link to ColorBox pads on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...Box++stamp+pad
I should have "read the instructions" before posting my question. The ink is archival after it dries. The blurb on the back of the pad says, "Permanent when embossed. Clean with water." I take this to mean you should clean the stamp with water, presumably before the ink dries (?)
Tips from anyone with actual experience are always appreciated.

"embossed" means when you apply a heat gun with embossing powder, to make the color turn into a raised, dimensional ink. If you haven't zapped it with a heat gun, I'll bet the stamp can still be cleaned with a bit of soap and water.

There are cleaning pads with sprays and almost every brand has their own set. The easiest and probably least expensive way is to use baby wipes (alcohol and perfume free) stored in a large ziplock bag to keep in the moisture. If you ever go to any of the 'industry shows' you will see variations on that although some do make their own cleaners. Unless you are going to stamp several items, cleaning should be done after each use and certainly in between colours.
Yow. Way too much work. Dedicated ink per stamp it is!
