The back story is on FPN. Someone made a thread (one out of a million other similar threads) complaining about high priced pens. The usual why would people pay so much for a pen kinda of thread. So Farmboy started a thread about who's gullible enough to buy third tier (i.e. cheap pens). Thus I named the box of cheap pens that we have for sale the Box of Gullibility because it is mostly third tier stuff that comes along when you buy a typical collection of pens. Farmboy got some stuff even junkier than the usual so I named that box the Box of Beyond Gullibility. The Box of Premium stuff is a box of less junky stuff.

It's $5 for anything in the box of Gullibility, 3 for $5 for the Beyond Gullibility and $10 for anything in the box of Premium Gullibility. We usually have the box(es) at a Pen Posse and people pour through them and just leave the money in the box to be collected later.

Teri Morris has a similar boxes of stuff. We will be looking at her boxes when we Pen Posse there tomorrow.

Ohhh...I've seen the third tier thread on FPN. I thought there was some very pretty pens in the thread.

The third tier pens often had very interesting and unique celluloid. It was one way for them to standout against higher quality pens. The build quality is usually poor but interesting to look at. They make good pens to learn pen restoration and occasionally you get a really decent writer. My favorite from the recent lot of pens in the Box of Gullibility is the disco pen that Gale bought.
