Hello all. First, please join me in thanking Uncle Bud, who gave us a very generous donation for MI. Thank you, Uncle Bud!

We are so happy people have been enjoying this and I assure you it will continue in the future.

For this round, our MI7 recipients, selected by random list generator, are:

    akapulko2020
    Uncle Bud
    Chrissy
    Sammyo
    Xina
elaineb (indeed the third time was the charm!)

So, if I don't have your address, can you please PM me with address and email? That would be everyone on that list but Chrissy.

Plus! It turns out that I have enough ink for exactly one more recipient. Elaineb would have been that person, because she missed out twice before, but she was randomly selected. So I am going to send the last vial to Cob. When I picked this ink for MI7, I thought of him.

I'm so sorry I can't send a sample to everyone, but more rounds will follow. If my memory is correct, mhguda will be our three times the charm person for MI8.

So, what I do is make two lists, one for US volunteers, one for non-US, and I take the first three from each list. Apologizing for all misspellings, here are today's lists:

S'funny, I thought I'd put my name on the list?

Then I noticed - post #20 - that I'd said to take it off if there were more than 6 new entries. I guess that explains it.

No worries. I look forward to hearing/seeing what the lucky contestants think of this one.

Actually, I had sent you a PM saying just that! I guess you didn't see it.

I'm very glad you brought that up, though, because this is the first time I managed to figure out how to screen shot the lists, so I probably confused a bunch of folks. Sorry!

Lots of people enter MI provisionally, as you did, graciously offering to let newbies have the next turn. And so I follow their wishes and don't put their names on the list if there turn out to be more volunteers than ink.

Got to love it! I posted in the thread my confusion and realisation of what must have happened before I noticed the message. Gave me a bit of a laugh really.

I'm having one of those mornings I guess.

As for graciousness; that is a word that has no business being applied to someone like me.

Thank you to Uncle Bud for enabling our ink explorations! And thanks to Laura for doing all the organization and shipping duties. I am so happy to be included in MI7! Now to plan out which pen(s) and paper(s) to use for testing and just how to go about this....

Thanks to everyone for your kind words, but really it's Karen and Laura that should be getting the thank you. It was their idea (and it was a great one) and it's all their hard work that keeps it going. It is a lot of fun taking part, from the little pang of excitement when the package arrives, to using something that you've never used before, and then posting your thoughts and seeing what others think, it's just fun! I hope others get the same buzz that I got, so a big thank you from me to Karen and Laura. Cheers, Bud

I'll second that! Was pacing up and down in anticipation of my first MI (#6). It was all new to me and enjoyed it immensely.

Oh, I am so excited! Thank you, folks, for including me in this round. I am cleaning out pens and setting them aside to dry today, in happy anticipation. Quick question: roughly how much ink comes in a sample? I'm trying to figure out which pens I'll be using with it.

It varies, but this one is about 2 ml, which is the size of a Goulet sample.
