    Default Hello from Arkansas

    Just wanted to say hello!

I am very new to the FB hobby but have always had a fascination with nice pens and paper since I was a kid. My occupation is a System Administrator for a large company and I was looking for a hobby that would help me unwind and get my mind out of the digital world. Was looking for something that needed concentration, was slow and didn't cost a lot to get started in. So I thought I would improve my hand writing witch led to Youtube videos and then to fountain pens. Now I'm hooked! The "Didn't cost to a lot to get into" started off great. A Rhodia notpad, Lamy Safari, Pilot Metropolotin, and some Noodlers Bulletproof Eel was my first purchase and I didn't realize how fast I was already looking at the Delta's, Edison's and Monteverde. Now its time for a Waterman, Pelikan, or Montblanc and maybe some Tomoe River paper. Hopelessly addicted!

Who knows, maybe I will see some of you at the Washington DC Supershow!

From Australia. I too am addicted. When I was at school I thought the pens we were supplied were for using as javelins and sticking them into the school desks. Glad I dont have the same ideas now
