    Default deja

    .
    .
I want to start again here, for I feel I arrived in a pumpkin carriage driven by a team of desire and impatience.

I've met with nothing but grace here, from a melting pot cultural strata covering the globe and bound with ink.

    I'm learning about much more than pens, so I'm going to put my bells away for awhile, and let the river flow, which after all, is really what I want most;

Not your pens, but your enthusiasm and dedication to curating fine writing instruments.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Lovely turn of phrase Jim.

Welcome again (first time from me though).

Thanks again for the welcome; Fountain Pen Geeks is exemplary in it's overall tone.

If it were only about information, we would have been done, cataloged, and gathering dust as a library.

If it were only about trade and procurement, we would all be at ebay, leaving fresh starts rootless.

That it is about community is the underlying grace in this place.

We are a Thanksgiving table of rare and distant relatives. Ivy league graduates and dropouts, knitters by the fire, weavers, and spinners, and cats missing fur.

Repetition is to be encouraged; it is marked by the innocent ask, fresh like spring rain; the enthusiasm of new ones wanting to know, and being unafraid to question, is both the fuel of this unique forum, and the reward for all participants.

    Jim

O, I've already made a few rare friends.

And the book will fail, for when they discover I'm from the Gothic South, they will write "Our next Faulkner!" on the back cover, possibly the front, without first reading the gibberish. It's a Southern Gothic sickness; and no one can bear that.

We look forward to the time when the power of love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.
