Love the feel of writing with both the PFMs. Love the solid feel of the Legacy. I love the feel of the nib in both the pens.

Hey, I've been on the forum a year, and I never knew. But you know what's weird? When I see pictures of pen shows, there are very few women in them. Those rooms are filled with mostly men. So it would seem that pens for men are rather more the rule than not.

I think I like the geeks version of pen fetish manna better.

Sheaffer also offered a Ladies line with far greater variety than the PFM.

Sheaffer also marketed Ladies pens to men. The 1940 catalog for the Lady Sheaffer Ensemble mentions it can be supplied in a men's case.

There was a "For the Guys" and "For the Dolls" but that was somewhat later.

That 1970s ad makes me just cringe and whine in pain. Oh the shirt. Oh that tie. Oh, the HORRIBLE wording in the copy. And then to read, "SHEAFFER still the proud craftsman" as their motto. Good lord, it makes me clutch my Snorkels and my Tuckaways and whimper at just how far the mighty can fall...

dang, that is really shitty copy. There's not a less profane word that fits.

Perhaps with Sheaffer's acquisition by Cross, there will be a positive change in their product line.
