Which is better bang for my buck for modern Sheaffers ? Valor or 300 ?

I think the best value will be an NOS Balance II from nibs.com
$129 for a 14k nib, vintage styling, and a free nib tuning from John Mottishaw?
It's a steal.

If you want to forgo the nib tuning for $15 less: http://www.isellpens.com/product-p/v...anceblkmed.htm

Ick. I'll go broke buying classic vintage Sheaffers before I'll buy any of the pens made in the last 20 years or so.

Price wise the 300 is hard to go past but the Valor has a good reputation. If money isn't a consideration I'd lean to the Valor.
