    Default NPD! (New Pen Day)

Inked up the Jinhao 159 I got from isellpens.com after a quick go with my penbrush (looks like an ordinary toothbrush but brushes feeds instead) and a good rinse. Used my trusty PR Ebony Black.

    Big pen!

Writes with a bold-looking line on this cheap printer paper. nice line, no hesitations or launchpad explosions yet.

    hooray!

Nice robust no-nonsense looking pen. I'm not to sure about the shield bit on the clip.

The ink on the finger tip for the photo is a neat touch too.

Got one a couple of weeks ago too. Put a waterman brown cartridge in it, and all was going well until it got almost to the end of the cartridge, whereby it promptly decided to dump all remaining ink in one big blob...

Hoping its just a sign of a spent cart, and doesn't become a common occurrence.

I've been very happy with it to-date, apart from that. Is a wet writer but consistent and smooth. I like the size - I don't have big hands but it is comfortable when in use. In fact I like the size so much I also ordered the roller ball version...

I got one of those incoming too, after reading about it here and elsewhere. I don't have big hands so it will be interesting to see how it feels in use.

the ones on the left are piston-filling Serwex flexies. The black and green ones are Camlin eyedroppers, and the clear-bodied one was a freebie Todd tossed in. I inked it up with Organics Studio Manganate V and gave it to the wife.

    It finally got here!

A soaked and miserable mail carrier just handed me my Lamy 2000 five minutes ago.

Gave it a flush and inked it right up with Lamy Blue-Black.

It's a double-b. looks stubbish but kinda isn't. the major surprise? freakin flex. BOOM.

Best of all, Serwex with a Sith Lord Stub courtesy of Krazy Ivan! Woohoo!

NOW: what to ink these with? I'm going to solicit some feedback before I act this time, just for fun.

Jedi blood. And pretty bright colours that'll look good sloshing around in the demonstrators.
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

    Nice haul.
Hey that Diamond 580 w/ 1.5mm stub has an oblique look to it ?????

Good to see the Vista isn't going to be left out of the itallicing fun. However I find 1.9mm a little too wide for much other than headings.

Serwex with a Sith Lord Stub courtesy of Krazy Ivan! Woohoo. I bet that bring a warm glow to a niberatti's heart.
What metal is PIDIUM ! something from the furnaces of the Darkside.

You've made a big dent in your pen allowance judging by the recpt $1955.00

thanks Earthdawn. that BB is now a nice wide Pendleton Point.

Since the Lamy is a familiar pen style already I tried a new in in it: from my sample of Sailor Jentle Apricot. eeeeyow! it's bright and awesome.

Still scheming on the other two... suggestions are solicited.

All I used in that Serwex was Waterman Florida Blue. My testing ink. I did want to try it with some PR Ebony Green but thought it would make for some difficult cleaning. I say whatever green ink you have on hand.
