    But, aren't they completely useless?
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

I had the impression that quite a few people like them. It must be the "wax" seal on the bottle.

You aren't confusing the 1670 50ml bottle with the standard J.Herbin 30ml bottles that just about everyone hates.

I can fill my TWSBI 530 from the 1670 bottle but I see where it is going to be a problem when the ink level gets lower.

Personally I think I would just buy a bottle of the ink. Though I can see where one might appreciate a free container, the thought of the wife seeing 3 new bottles of J.Herbin ink makes me cringe! After all isn't one blue ink just the same as another? Sigh...

People like them because they're pretty. Which, incidentally, is also true for the regular "D"-bottles. But as far as usability is concerned, the 1670 bottles seem just as bad.

Apparently not when Noodler's BayState Blue is considered.
