    Default Ink Review: Diamine Oxblood

I have decided to review some of my favourite inks. These aren't necessarily in any particular order.

This one is Diamine Oxblood. I think it's darker than Montblanc Hitchcock, and in fact it's more saturated. Although I like it a lot, I would rate it as a close second to Red Dragon, but I would write with them both.

    • Water test on the review form shows this isn't a waterproof ink.

    • Bearing in mind the paper I use is very smooth, and the nib was a wet stub, this ink took 14-16 secs to dry.

    • It flows reasonably wet, and lubricates the nib quite well.

    • It is currently available in 30ml plastic bottles and 80ml glass bottles.

    • Diamine sell it directly to end-users on their web-site.

    • It's a reasonable price.

It was one of the first inks I bought from Diamine. A nice colour.

It is one of the first inks I bought that wasn't quink black, or in my more daring moments, quink blue-black.
I love this ink —from accenting blue or black text to extra fine nibs in diagrams.
After thirty years, I get this coloured ink thing and its amazing.
Excellent reviews, as I plan and save for a total diamine binge. Thank you

This is one of my favorite inks, and is currently in two of my favorite pens. Fits its name, also after it drys.
    Great review!

Thank you all for your kind comments. You're welcome

I think that for red ink lovers Oxblood and Red Dragon satisfy almost all requirements.

And Grape indeed. However, I put that in with purples rather than reds
