We've got the smoker going because we host a BBQ every year. Always our favorite day, and the weather looks fantastic this year.

I hope I have enough beer because Sweetnightingale will want to keep me company between chores. I just read it to her. Would you belive she called me 'a smart ass'.

On this day of Independence, the rain stopped, and we ended up with:

Spare ribs
Burgers
Dogs
Loaded beans
Cole slaw

Cookies
Coffee...

Whew....

Now the neighbors are blowing stuff up.

I got the grass cut and the steaks cooked, and haven't been called a dumbass. BTW, the beer was good. Now we hear the local fireworks.... Had to play ball with the yellow dog. Next time I think he needs to 'stay on the porch' because he is wiped out. Tomorrow is another day.
