Hi all,
I am somewhat saddened by my increasingly infrequent and vacuous posting on this board; I guess my interest in focusing on online content has diminished recently, perhaps because I'm in a new and bustling real life community that I really enjoy (college). Anyway, I want to try something different. Most of the pens I've owned have been relatively staid in their design, vintage, often American, and dull-colored. I love to use the pens I currently own, but want (and have always wanted) to glimpse the other, more vibrant and modern side of this hobby. I am not, however, willing to sell all my pens to do this. So, I'm basically asking for someone to send me a few pens (2 minimum, 4 maximum) they've enjoyed for their vibrancy, quirkyness, downright akwardness...whatever it may be, as long as that does not include black plastic with gold trim . In return, I'll send you the majority of the pens I currently have to try. I don't care if the value isn't equivalent, as this will be temporary, but I am looking for quality and uniqueness (which in this case can be based off of how much a given pen differs from those in the list below). One more thing. There must be at least one true stub or italic in the mix.
They are:
Montblanc 142 G in black (medium stubbish springy nib)
Parker Vacumatic Standard in Black stripe (medium nail nib)
Pelikan 400 in green (semi-flex xf nib, early model!)
Aurora 88 by Nizzoli (flexible very wet medium)
Parker 51 Aero in black (smooth excellent medium)
Waterman's 14s Saftey (stubbish medium, semi-flex)
Send me an email at dabantur@gmail.com if you're interested.
Thanks!
p.s--If you're not using your Nakaya much and would be up for this, that would be the dream 'trial' for me (no other pens would be necessary, obviously).
other 'dream trials' (only one pen sent on your part):
Delta Dolcevita Oro
any upper range Graf Von Faber Castell
any OMAS with Arco celluloid
**this is not an exhaustive list, and I'm interested in trying many other pens as well**
