Today's sketch is a neat vehicle, I say vehicle because it's not classified as a car, nor it is a motorcycle. The closest general description is an Auto-Rickshaw which means something to carry one or two passengers, but powered by an engine.

These auto-rickshaws are super common in Asian countries, especially South and South East Asia. The primary makers are automobile companies from India. And I knew for a fact that these little workhorses were already roaming the crowded streets in Asia, transporting people and their goods back and forth since at least the 1970s.

The Cavalier pen has a unique clip shape. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Maybe I'll post under the Obscure pen thread.

I hope Will forgives me for this. I've cried on his shoulder often enough about my complete lack of artistic ability in the visual medium, but I now have two "sketches" that mean the world to me.

I love the mix of communities in my life, and a recent/virtual/remote pen friend is artist Jeffrey Beauchamp. We've not met, only dialogued online. I happened to see him do a sketch of a sweet kitty, and asked if he would consider the same for our late beloved Cricket. I sent him 2 photos, one at about 10 weeks and later in life, letting him pick the better shot. He surprised me by doing both.

I did this without my spouse knowing, and managed to do a passable mat job, and then presented them to her. We are so over the moon with joy at seeing him captured this way. I can't thank Jeff enough for this gift beyond measure.

Thank you for sharing this Jon.

To me and others, we see a well-rendered cat drawing, but to you and your wife, it is a remembrance of a dear companion.

If this doesn't affirm the point that I've discovered myself, that sketches (just a bunch of lines drawn on paper) have a way to endear themselves into our hearts and stay there, I don't know what else will.

A quick sketch of an old truck using Medium-Broad (with a slight 'architect' character).

The Kreuzer is a nice piston filler. I love the curved clip.
