Spent some time with the stinky floody Noodlers Ahab today...Good art pen now...after mods. If you can take the smell, it's a good performer!

Very nice indeed. Also, far beyond my pathetically limited talents.

I'm too old to have a school to go back to

Unless you include the school of life, then all my sketches are my "escape" from that.

On August 4th, tropical storm Isaias passed through here, knocking down many trees and branches, and leaving my town without power for a week.

This tree is in the adjacent town where I take a daily walk. I don't know if it can survive the damage it took, but I'm interested in seeing how it does. You could say that I'm rooting for it.

It would be an interesting study for a real artist; feel free to draw from the above photo if you like. Here's a sketch of my own, just experimenting with a fountain pen. Pilot MYU and De Atramentis Document Brown ink.

First post: A pen and watercolor using a Pilot Explorer (fine nib) with Platinum Carbon ink. Also used a Faber Castle brush pen for shadows.FA853B7F-BF14-4DE5-AA1D-5AAF87DBECB4.jpg
