Thank you. I'm not professional at the moment, however I was about 15-20 years ago and went to artschools before that. But I got kind of burned out in around the year 2000 doing a lot of commission work I didn't enjoy, and switched career to IT. I tried to keep up some creative stuff since then, digital illustration, photography, some occasional painting. But the last few years it has not been that much. Now I want to get back to drawing as a regular habit. The hardest part is time, I got a full time job and a family too, so mostly it's when they have gone to bed I can do some work. Oops, I just wanted to say thanks, this became quite long, haha. I just wanted to express that it means much to get positive feedback when your struggling to get things done, so: Thanks!

Here is my first test of Pelikan Fount India ink. Quick sketch, not very finished, I felt the drawing was not good enough to continue, but at least I got a feel for the ink.

Comparing to Pelikan 4001 black, the Fount India ink flows quite well, make the F-nib feel broader I think. I might go for a larger format paper next time, say A3.

In the image you also see 2/3 of my fountain pens The Lamy Safari with M-nib, TWSBI 580 with F-nib (missing is my Rotring Art pen 2.3 eyedropper). Wish for the future to hold more pens

Thanks for sharing. I will be carefully studying your sketches to learn from. Even those you deem not good enough to continue are well beyond my reach, now and in the forseeable, distant future.

Last week I went to an estate sale in which the car garage of the house had been converted into a painting studio.

On the wall there are shelves full of Canson products of any sizes and types. I walked out with an armful of sketchpads and sketchbooks, literally at a fraction of their retail prices. Super happy

Here's a test on one of the pocketable sketchbooks:
