Welcome to the imaginary and tiny "Richard's Garage" set in the 1950s in a quaint little town.

The ink is of course R&K AGG.

There's a Richard's Garage at the end of my street but it doesn't look as nice as yours, Will!

    LOL!

The name Richard is inspired by the little garage which has been taking care of my old 4Runner. The owner's name is Rick.

I wondered if it was inspired by a well known pen person called Richard... LOL

    That's an interesting take, Chrissy.

If this sketch were to be inspired by a pen person whom I admire, it would be called "Pete's" instead

This is...frustrating. A doodle more than a sketch. It's the ink that drives me bats.

I have very few sketches which, strictly speaking, belong to this thread rather than others. I've been doing some drawing in ink, but rarely with fountain pens. This one used a Platinum desk pen with a blue-black cartridge. Very cheap pen, but the extra fine nib is good for drawing, I think. No doubt it would have been a good idea to put down some light pencil guidelines first, as I know things came out uneven.

The main point of this was actually to try out some hatching and cross-hatching, but of course, I needed some sort of subject. I've been amazed by the regularity of some of the hatching and stippling I've seen, in cases where there was no possibility of computer assistance, I mean. I don't have that much control, or perhaps just not that much patience.
