    Default Some of our pens...

I had the camera out snapping pics of pen cases for another thread. I decided to attempt some shots of various pens naimitsu and I had out in the open (easy to find) in the office. I'm thinking I need a better setup for macro photography. I magnifier on the lens should help with close-up shots and perhaps a tripod so I can use a smaller aperture / longer shutter to remove the depth of field effect and bring everything into focus.

Nice collection. Are you a collector or seller?

Technically we (naimitsu and I) are collectors, though I would prefer the classification of "user". None of our pens just sit around to be looked at. Sooner than later I will probably be a "seller" as three of the pens pictured are likely to be put up for sale in the for sale forum section.

That is a great looking Menlo! Also the Stylograph (about which I know nothing).

Thanks! The Menlo was almost purely an impulse buy after naimitsu picked up the Stylograph. I thought the checker pattern looked cool. I was browsing through Edison's available materials one evening, ran across the blue/gold checker, and had one purchased two days later. Edison also has a green/gold checker material. I don't NEED another pen, but I definitely WANT one to go along with the blue/gold.

Nice macro shots. I especially like the one of the nib.
I can tell where I'm not wanted.

Someday that'll be on my tombstone.
