and that's not just for the Americans amongst us.
Actually, today it does! (But I'm not taking any pictures of the two together in court, as you might imagine)

We don't want you ending up in the wrong seat in court!

The Waltham watch the Army issued my Dad in 1944 when it meritoriously advanced him to First Sergeant (and awarded him a Bronze Star) for his heroism in the Philippines, and my Pelikan M805 Clear Demonstrator.

Burglars stole the original medal, and the replacement crew missed the "V" for valor.

Cool Re: Does your pen match your watch?

No it does not match my watch since I do not wear one, but I think it goes well with my knife. I keep a knife in one pocket and a pen in another as a general daily rule. FC 45 Ghost with a black cap and a Laguiole with ebony.

Match or not, it paid for itself. I fainted and ended up on the kitchen floor, far beyond Bluetooth range of my cell phone. Fortunately the independent SIM card phone in my watch let me call 911 and talk with dispatch and the EMS to get help and let them in through the garage.

Same here. Always been a watch fanatic.
I have been collecting them since I was 15 or so.
I still have all of them.
It's sad to say though that some of them are not functional anymore!

M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
    A: Yes it is!
    M: No it isn't!
