Default Does your pen match your watch?

I've found that many fountain pen fans/users are also into collecting watches. Look at your pen next to you right now. Does it match the watch you're wearing? Pictures are welcome. I'll start.

Here we have a German pen and a watch. Both iconic pieces. On is Bauhaus and the other is the older forerunner of Bauhaus Deutscher Werkbund.

Nope, no relationship that I can discern. Today I am wearing one of my modern Bulova Accutrons, a Kirkwood ETA-2824. It's also one of the more accurate mechanical self-widers I own. The pen is a 1957-58 Aurora 888. Quite different in almost every imaginable way.

Mine could depending on the face I load: today I have an Anderson Pens Delta Unica LE in green, and a Moto 360.

You are correct. I do love watches, but I'm a bit of a snob for automatics. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I have a liking toward the complexity of the movements and the craftsmanship which goes into a lot of the high end watches. I suppose I cam close to a match today. I was wearing a black / red Tudor Black Bay and did a bit of writing with a black / rhodium Waterman Charleston which has red ink in it. But I tend to rotate through multiple pens during the day, so there were certainly times when I clashed.

    This ink...

No. I own mechanical watches. (Watches are supposed to tick). Some Omega's and a cheapie as a beater for work. Not a large selection. Pens, on the other hand, I rotate roughly a dozen depending on my mood. I usually carry more inexpensive pens to work. I don't coordinate gold trim with gold trim, who cares. I like my watches and choose one that fits my mood. With fountain pens, I do the same.

Can't remember the last time I wore a watch.
I can tell where I'm not wanted.

Someday that'll be on my tombstone.

Nope. None of my pens match my gold and steel watch.

    Matching nicely, farmdogfan!

Here's my pairing today. Not matching per se, but a nice combo, IMO.
An ICW Fleigerchrono (my daily wearer for the last 15 years) and a LeBoeuf #80:

I'm going to say no, although I notice it does seem to go pretty well with the mechanical pencil that I'm carrying.

The watch pictured, quartz, solar recharging, self setting, is on my wrist perhaps 350 days a year. If it "goes with" the particular fountain pen or pens that I'm using at a given moment, it's a coincidence. I do have mechanical watches, including a treasured manual wind one that belonged to my father, but I rarely wear them.

I don't wear watches anymore; I'm retired, an American idle. I eat when I'm hungry and drink when I'm dry. There is a clock in my car, but it went whopper-jawed the last time I replaced the battery. My computer can tell me the time and if I really need to know, I can boot it up.

Some very good matching up there. Very cool!

    I don't collect watch.
My wife bought me one recently and I like it a lot.

This photo was taken because I just got the pen about the same time as the watch, so while I have my camera out.
Do they match? I think so because both are utilitarian, but cool at the same time.

As I don't wear a watch the answer is either No or Yes. I can't decide which.

That's easy: If you're using a pen; no. If you're not using a pen; yes.

    Unassailable logic.

    Decidedly not.

Although, come to think of it, my cheap Timex watch is probably made in India or Asia (Timex Group mentions several manufacturing centers abroad), and I do have some pens from those same regions.

    Can kitsch match?
