For Sale: Esterbrook Model J w/ 3 nibs (including 9128 flex)
As the title states I am selling an Esterbrook Model J. The pen is in good working condition. It has been recently restored. The previous owner reworked the lever mechanism and installed a new ink sac. When I received it the section was a bit loose in the body, so I made sure the sac was adequately talc'd and put a small amount of shellac on the section so it would stop rotating and falling out. Pen was purchased with the #2556 nib and it appears a previous owner has ground it into a left oblique. I bought the pen thinking I'd get into flex writing, thus I also bought the #9128 nib. Turns out I don't have the patience for slow, beautiful writing. I most recently purchased the #9556 nib hoping I could turn this into a standard fine nib'd daily writer, but with the other pens I own seeing much more preferential use this one is on the block to find a new home. #9128 and #9556 nibs were purchased new-old-stock and have been used for less than a paragraph of writing each.
