    Default Eversharp 64 Cap

I picked up an Eversharp 5th Avenue/64 with a solid gold cap. I understand the 5th Avenue had rings on the cap and was gold filled. On the other hand, the 64 was a shiny cap with 64 or 6?4 markings near the bottom of the cap. Did the 64 come without the number designation?

The 64 cap's were all marked with the numerals. The Fifth Avenue was available with both GF and 14K gaps, so if your pen's cap is smooth 14K and doesn't have the 64 marking, then it is a Fifth Avenue.

No, solid gold (cap, ring, lever, barrel end) is a 64. The 6?4 version is for Take It Or Leave It, the radio show.
