Default Savoy Pen -- Can't open up the section!

This afternoon while trying to fix my grandfather's printer I found an interesting little pen called the Savoy. A preliminary google search seems to suggest it's a De la Rue creation.

The pen seems to be in pretty decent condition, the nib is a flexible medium that writes quite nicely when dipped. I really looks like al it needs is a good clean and a new sac.

However, I can't get the pen open. I've tried to apply a bit of heat to soften what I assume to be shellac, but to no avail, and I daren't be more aggressive.

Any pen repair experts who can give me any tips? Grandmia? If all else fails, you'll probably be getting it sent to you eventually.
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

Done it! It's open, clean and sacless! Now to source supplies.
